I am a blessed Mom to two beautiful daughters, two great son-in-laws, and seven grandchildren.
I am retired from Ivy Tech Community College in Columbus, Indiana. I graduated from Indiana Wesleyan University with a master’s degree in Business Management.
During my fifteen years at Ivy Tech, I taught English and Business courses. Additionally, I worked as a full-time Academic Advisor during my last five years at Ivy Tech. My work experiences, prior to Ivy Tech, included owning and operating a floral and gift store, working in residential real estate sales, and working for the Department of Defense and the Social Security Administration.
I ran for a board position because I felt I could help manage the direction our neighborhood needed to go as we transitioned to transparency, term limits, implementation of digital platforms, getting our neighborhood back on a solid financial footing for the next 25 years, and putting care and community back into our neighborhood. I believe it is important that our Covenants and By-Laws reflect the needs of our fellow neighbors and are not used to isolate some of our neighbors while others adhere to a different set of rules. I believe all decisions should be rooted in our fiduciary responsibility to our members.
